Hard Cooked Eggs Recipe

If you've struggled to prepare the perfect hard-cooked egg, look no further. This simple technique will give you perfect hard-cooked eggs every time.

For this recipe you'll need a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan with a tight-fitting lid.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 17 minutes
Ingredients:
  • 4 large eggs
Preparation:
  1. Place eggs in a heavy-bottomed saucepan and cover with cold water. Make sure the tops of the eggs are covered by at least an inch of water. How much water will depend on the size of the pot, but in general, bigger is better. Crowding the eggs risks cracking them.

  2. Bring water to a full boil, uncovered, then remove the pot from the heat and cover it. Let the pot stand untouched for 17 minutes.

  3. Remove the cooked eggs from the water and transfer them to a bowl of cold water for 15 minutes. Then either peel and serve or refrigerate.
