Corned beef and cabbage is a traditional recipe on St. Patrick's Day, but if you only have it once a year, you're missing out.

That's because corned beef and cabbage is absolutely heavenly. Repeat: Heavenly. And the beautiful thing is, it's so easy to make. Once the corned beef is cured, you basically just simmer it in plain water for a few hours. The brine that the brisket is cured in will turn that plain water into a lovely cooking liquid.
